Harry has claimed that both he and McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher have become the ultimate “anti-rock stars” since they both walked down the aisle with the loves of their lives recently.

The 27-year-old married his girlfriend Izzy Johnson in December last year, while Tom wed his high school sweetheart Giovanna Falcone last summer. It hasn't taken long for the pair to settle into married life with Harry admitting that their days of glamorous parties and living the life of a rock'n'roll star are long gone and instead the boys have become “old men” since tying the knot.

Now the boys would rather unwind to a TV drama, spend the weekend getting stuck into a spot of gardening or even getting stuck some occasional knitting. Harry told BANG Showbiz: “We're like old men really. Tom gets excited about 'Downton Abbey' and Tom takes it a step further and does so many uncool things – he knits a scarf, or something like that. “We're pretty lame to be honest. We're the anti-rockstars! I love gardening, I absolutely love it!”

However, Harry insisted that compared to their crazier bandmates Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter, the married pair were never really that wild. Instead the duo have always preferred a night in with their respective partners than living it up as a member of one of the UK's biggest bands.

McFly recently announced they have begun work on their new album and claimed they are developing a new sound for the follow-up to 2010's 'Above The Noise.'

McFLY star Harry Judd has spoken for the first time about the scary moment he realised he had a heart problem.

His ticker developed an extra beat – but the drummer says his condition won’t affect the band, who celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Harry told me: “It was a scare at the time but now it’s more of an annoyance, like an eye twitch.

“It’s called a wandering pacemaker, where your heart develops an extra beat. Most of the time it doesn’t require treatment. I’ve cut out sugar and I’m strict with eating and it’s been better. My life’s healthy now. I don’t drink, smoke or have caffeine.”

The problem started after Harry began training to run the London Marathon for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Speaking at the TCT wrap-up party at London’s Groucho Club, he continued: “It came on through excessive exercise. I was worried because I had all this sponsorship money and I didn’t want to have to pull out.”

However, work on the new McFly album has been more successful than the 27-year-old’s stint in the gym. Harry continued: “We’ve got so many good songs. We thought we had two or three singles ages ago but we’ve developed a new style and a whole new set of songs since then. It’s a progression from the last album. We’re trying to be ourselves and let it happen naturally.”

And after nearly a decade in the business, Harry is proud that the four-piece have remained down-to-earth. He admitted: “We’re all normal guys and there’s no massive egos. Tom and Danny should have massive egos but they don’t. Our insecurities keep us normal."

“I say maybe when we’re 50 or 60 we’ll call it a day and they’re like: ‘No, we’ll carry on.’”

Harry said he and Tom Fletcher, 27, are loving married life, admitting: “We’re like old men and get excited about Downton Abbey. We’re pretty lame, like anti-rock stars. We used to do crazy stuff but now I’m into gardening and Tom does sewing and knits scarves.”
