Time has come to say goodbye...

The end of an era. 

Na vijf jaar trouwe dienst is het voor ons tijd om er een punt achter te zetten. We zullen niet langer de mission:MCFLY website en al onze social media pagina's voorzien van updates. Het team vind het erg jammer om dit besluit definitief te maken, en we zullen het ook zeker missen. Nee, we huilen niet... we hebben gewoon iets in onze ogen.

Terugkijkend op veel plezierige jaren, zijn we erachter gekomen dat we eigenlijk toch wel heel veel leuke dingen hebben mogen doen. We zijn begonnen in oktober, 2008 en hadden eigenlijk maar één doel voor ogen, onze missie, en dat was om McFly naar Nederland te halen... en binnen een paar maanden hadden we ervoor gezorgd dat McFly hun eerste concert in Europa speelde (gekkenhuis). Daarnaast hebben we ook heel veel andere leuke dingen gedaan, zoals het promoten van McFly op lokale en nationale radio, in tijdschriften en ook met vele missies online. We hebben het privilege gehad om in nauw contact samen te werken met Super Records en Super City (thanks guys).


Obviously zal het mission:MCFLY team wel McFly fan blijven. Dus is de kans groot dat je ons nog eens tegen komt bij concerten. Galaxy Defender stay forever.

In de afgelopen vijf geweldige jaren, hebben we met veel mensen samen gewerkt. Wij willen hen dan ook bij dezen bedanken: Tommy, Fletch, Dave, Malou, May, Celesta, het voormalige mission:MCFLY Streetteam, poppodia 013, Paradiso, Melkweg, Oosterpoort, ICP Studios, Kaj & Misha (RTV Midden Brabant), Eric Bats (RTV Noord), Frank Spijkers (Maasland FM), Barry (Radio 538), Michiel (3FM), V-Radio, Tanja & William (Hitkrant), CosmoGIRL, Tina, NUKS, ANS, BT Digital Music Awards, Teen Today, Super Records, Super City, onze anonieme bronnen, Tom, Danny, Dougie, Harry en natuurlijk... jullie allemaal.

De creatieve energie die het mission:MCFLY team gewoonlijk inzette voor deze website, is nu gericht op andere persoonlijke projecten. Als je Caroline en/of Pascale wilt volgen in andere hoeken van het internet, kijk dan op de twitter van Caroline, en de twitter van Pascale.


De website www.missionmcfly.com zal nog online zijn tot oktober 2014. Hierna zal deze URL niet meer bestaan, en is er geen contact meer mogelijk met de @missionmcfly.com e-mail adressen. Deze webpagina zal overigens wel online blijven onder een andere URL (we zullen dan weer gehost worden door blogger.com). We zullen nooit helemaal weg gaan.

Allemaal super bedankt voor alle toffe momenten die we met elkaar hebben mogen delen,

SERIOUS COUPLE CRUSH ALERT.

Ahhh, the McFly lads. Giving us completely unreasonable expectations for boyfriends and relationships since 2003. Yep, they’re pretty much the most perfect boyfs/fiances/husbands going, and last night Danny Jones kept up the good work as he stepped out with his gorgeous gal Georgia Horsley.

Danny and Georgia could not have been looking more adorable as they proved that Love is NOT on the radio, but is actually at the UK Lingerie Awards. Fact.



Danny was looking F to the INE in a pair of dark skinny jeans, super sharp charcoal grey jacket, and tres sophisticated maroon shirt with a matching pocket square. We didn’t think it was possible, but he was looking even more dapper than he did in that red and blue rugby shirt in the Obviously video.

Meanwhile, his lovely lady Georgia was looking hot stuff in a one-shouldered emerald green dress paired with classic black heels, a black clutch and super glam voluminous curls.

But if you thought that picture was cute, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet...



OH GAHD, look at Danny's face. Our hearts have just melted into oblivion and gone to join Tom’s old fat in a far off land.

Can we just stop for a second and imagine how beautiful their children will be?... Yep, okay. We’re off to eat a tub of ice cream, cuddle our cat and plan how we can snare an alternative boyband member seeing as we’re kind of running out of McFly boys.

How cute are Danny and Georgia, eh? Loving them as a couple?

Hurrah we have some exciting news for McFly (and The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas) fans!!! We’ve only gone and nabbed ourselves 3 SIGNED copies of The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet! It is the second instalment from the McFly Boys (Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter) which follows after the highly successful The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas. In this new book Danny and Dinosaur are back in another amazing adventure and this time they are going to space! But when Danny realises he’s forgotten Dino’s lunch box, the very hungry dinosaur eats everything in sight, including their only way home: the rocket! How will Dino get them back home?



About the authors:
Dougie Poynter is fascinated by reptiles, Tom Fletcher loves space, and they have a shared obsession with poop! After writing songs together for nine years in the band McFly, they wrote this book in the same way that they write their song lyrics.

Tom and Dougie comment ‘We absolutely love children’s fiction and have a passion for writing. We constantly come up with ridiculous ideas and can’t quite believe that this one is becoming a reality. We spend hours in book shops when we’re on tour finding inspiration from all kinds of books but more often than not we find ourselves in the kids picture book section getting funny looks from parents and staff. We both know that as kids we would have loved this book and so we hope that when children and parents read it they laugh as much as we did when we wrote it.’
