McFly struggle to stay relevant...

McFly drummer Harry Judd has admitted that he thinks the band took their initial success for granted. 

Speaking to Digital Spy, Judd conceded that a long period of inactivity between albums caused some people to lose interest in the band. 

He also admitted that McFly, who have been together for nine years, sometimes find it hard to stay relevant in the music scene.

He said: "We did an album in 2010, but we had a long gap between album four and five. We'd been going for six or seven years; it took a year and a half to make it, and we didn't do any publicity during that time. I think we realised how hard it was to get people interested again. I think we'd taken our success for granted. Thankfully the album went well and we had a big hit with 'Shine A Light', which meant we could go on tour again. At the same time though, other bands were coming through and it's hard to stay relevant."

Er is een ding waar we het echt helemaal mee eens zijn: McFly neemt te veel tijd tussen albums in. Als ze aan het touren zijn hoor je ons niet klagen, maar we hebben nou eenmaal nieuwe liedjes nodig om onze hongerige fangirl breinen blij te houden.
