McFly bassist Dougie rocks to victory on 'I'm A Celebrity..'

Pop rocker Dougie Poynter has been crowned king of the jungle on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

He beat The Only Way Is Essex's Mark Wright to win the hit ITV show.

The 24-year-old star was shell-shocked to learn he had taken the throne, saying: "I'm lost for words, my mouth is so dry."

"These have been the best couple of weeks of my life, I wish everybody in the world could experience that."

Despite losing out, runner up Mark had nothing but kind words for his pal Dougie. "There couldn't be a better winner than this man here."

"He deserves it so much, he is the nicest guy in the whole world." he said.

The pair, who are both Essex boys and share the same age, steered their common ground to a firm friendship after bonding during their fortnight of jungle fever, even jokingly forming a "bro-mance".

On their last day together, the unlikely couple took part in one final Bushtucker trial to win points for a slap-up feast of their choice.

After eating delicacies from creepy crawlies, they were finally rewarded with healthy servings of pizza, lasagne and chocolate brownies.

As the pair bedded down for a final night under the stars, Mark became emotional, saying: "I couldn't wish to share the night with anyone else, Dougie is a special person."

Dougie Poynter may have had a bromance with Mark Wright in the jungle, but it seems Danny Jones will do anything for his beloved bandmate too.
And in honour of Poynter triumphing as the winner on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last night, Jones stripped to his birthday suit.
The McFly star posted a picture on Twitter, posing naked in his bathroom with what appeared to be a white cup protecting his modesty.

The 25-year-old accompanied the brave photograph with the simple caption: 'I said I would do it!!', suggesting he had made a bet with fans.

Throughout the evening, Danny was obviously glued to the television and tweeting his support from the sofa as the action unfolded on screen.

He wrote: 'OMG DOUG WON. F*** yeahhhhhhhh I'm quite emotional. I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU Whoever voted for Dougie!!! We are soooo lucky to have you as our fans x'

Dougie, 24, fought off competition from his TOWIE rival, forcing him into second place as the bassist was crowned King of the Jungle.

Danny has also been showing his support for Harry Judd, 25, who is taking part on BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing.

During a rehearsal session, Danny and Tom Fletcher turned up to visit their drummer while he was practicing with Aliona Vilani.

They thrust the blonde dancer into the air, spinning her around while dressed up as Gauchos for the Argentine Tango theme.

Fletcher, 26, flew out to Oz to greet the new nation's sweetheart, sharing the good news on Twitter.

He wrote: 'Thank you all SOOOOOO much for voting for our @dougiemcfly. Can't believe he did it!!!! Incredible. He stinks! Just saw Dougie eat his first meal out of the jungle. He looked so happy!!!'

Robbie Savage out as Strictly Come Dancing semi-final line-up revealed

Strictly Come Dancing's semi-final line-up has been decided, after Robbie Savage and his partner Ola Jordan were voted off on Saturday (December 3rd).

The former Blackburn Rovers midfielder was placed in the judges' bottom two along with Jason Donovan and Kristina Rihanoff, and was eliminated after receiving the fewest number of public votes.

Donovan and Rihanoff, Alex Jones and James Jordan, Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani, Chelsee Healey and Pasha Kovalev, and Holly Valance and Artem Chigvinstev are set to compete in this weekend's (December 10th) final.

Speaking after he had been voted off, Savage said that he hoped being on the show had changed the way people see him.

"People didn't know who I was before I came to this show, I wasn't a nice person on the football pitch and hopefully I've changed people's perceptions of me," he claimed.

Welshman Savage had revealed that he had been receiving dance tips from former Take That star Robbie Williams before his appearance on the celebrity talent contest.
