McFly bassist Dougie Poynter has found love again after splitting with The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford last year.

The 23-year-old I'm A Celebrity contestant's new girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones is very special, according to his mum Sam Moody.

'He said to me recently: "I'm so over Frankie," and I think he just needed a year out on his own,' she says.

A devastated Dougie checked into rehab after his break-up with Frankie, 22, last November.

But now he's apparently happier than ever with Lara - despite only hooking up with her a week before entering the jungle.

'How Lara came into his life was a complete fluke. It's meant to be - she could be the one,' reckons Sam.

'He's absolutely besotted. She's a normal girl and that's what he needs. She likes all the weird stuff he likes - she's perfect.'

THE final preparations are being made for tomorrow night’s big Christmas lights switchon.

McFly star and Bromley Cross lad Danny Jones will flick the switch at 7pm in Victoria Square at the end of a jam packed two-hour show.

The entertainment starts at 5pm with Real Radio’s breakfast show presenters Ditchy and Salty.

Performances will include routines from Bolton Dance and Performing Arts College, classical tunes from young singer Gemma Louise Doyle and a high-energy Zumba dancing show. - Read More
