Forget NKOTBSB, could McFly and One Direction be the new super group?

Ah, well we can but dream. But it sounds like two of the country's hottest boybands are in cahoots at the moment – with Tom Fletcher (of McFly fame) hitting the studio with newbies One Direction yesterday for a "jam". Yum.

The McFly singer tweeted yesterday, "Wicked day in the studio with some bloomin talented guys who are gonna be HUGE! Had a jam with @NiallOfficial today. He taught me What Makes You Beautiful and I taught him Shine A Light."

And we don't know about you, but this makes us very, very happy. Imagine if both bands got together to make beautiful music? Imagine, just image that?

It wasn't long before Liam Payne from 1D tweeted a picture of him, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan with Tom too – and Niall got in on the action by tweeting, "Sittin here with @tommcfly playing guitar. Hes teaching me to play all their songs.haha. Really really nice guy!sick musician". Even lovely Louis Tomlinson very sweetly thanked Tom for coming over with a sweet and succinct, "@tommcfly Thanks for yesterday man!"

Will we ever get to hear One Direction do Shine A Light? We hope so. Will McFly cover What Makes You Beautiful at their show in Doncaster Racecourse today? Who knows. Either way, we’re happy to see these two bands bonding. And maybe one day they'll do a NKOTBSB (who sound like their having a pretty awesome time as a super group by the way).
